Who is responsible for your data
Giftella, a sole trader in the United Kingdom, is the data controller for the information described here. Email hello@giftella.uk with any question about your information, or to ask us to change or delete it.

| Your name and email | To run your account and send order updates | Performing our contract with you |
| Your password | To sign you in. Stored scrambled — we cannot read it | Performing our contract |
| Order details: the wording, design, size and options you chose | To make and send your order | Performing our contract |
| Photos you upload | To print the item you ordered | Performing our contract |
| Delivery address | Collected by Stripe at checkout so we can post your order | Performing our contract |
| Newsletter email address | To send offers and new designs | Your consent, which you can withdraw |
We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information to anybody.
Photos you upload
Photos are stored in a private folder that cannot be reached from the web, under a random filename. Only we can open them, and only to print your order. We do not use them for advertising or show them to anyone else.
If a photo shows a child, please only upload it if you are the parent or guardian, or have their permission. Ask us at any time and we will delete a photo you have sent.
Who else sees your information
- Stripe takes your payment and collects your card and delivery details. We never see your card number. Stripe is its own data controller for payment data.
- IONOS hosts this website and our email, in the EU/UK.
- Delivery carriers receive the name and address needed to deliver your parcel.
How long we keep it
- Order records: 6 years, because tax law requires it.
- Uploaded photos: deleted once your order has been made and the returns period has passed, or sooner if you ask.
- Account details: until you ask us to close your account.
- Newsletter address: until you unsubscribe.
Cookies and what is stored in your browser
We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. Your basket is kept in your own browser’s storage until you check out, so it is not lost if you close the tab. Neither is used to track you, and we run no analytics or advertising cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, send it to you in a portable form, or stop using it in a particular way. Email hello@giftella.uk and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how we use your information we will update this page and, where it matters, tell you by email.
